SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MAY 31 2025 Presented at the MGEU Convention, this award honours a past or present MGEU member who has demonstrated the spirit of humanity through volunteer work, advocacy, and/or philanthropy in Manitoba. Their contribution as an everyday humanitarian may encompass a single event or span many years. Examples of humanitarian acts include, but are not limited to: lobbying for positive changes in a community or in a workplace, starting a support group, educating others, providing support to fellow Union members, organizing vigils/remembrance events, and supporting vulnerable Manitobans in need of food, shelter, or clothing. Please note: This form is to be completed by a nominator. The MGEU Equity and Human Rights Committee is responsible for selecting, contacting, and verifying the recipient of this award. For this reason, it is important to complete all sections. The Committee reserves the right to reject incomplete applications. The MGEU may publicly recognize recipients based on the information submitted. Recipients may be asked to provide a photo for union publication.
